Fay ~ Fay ~ please go away!! "There's been quite enough rain for everyone" It has rained here for days now and a lot of the streets are flooded. There is an area just south of us that has already gotten 24 inches of rain ~ with more on the way!! Unfortunately ~ it's still raining outside and Tropical Storm Fay has remained Stationary most of the day ~ Stationary ~ right on top of us.
I keep thinking about that Grimm's Fairy Tale ~ the one about the magic pot that would cook porridge on command. The little girl would say Cook ~ Pot ~ Cook and the pot would merrily make porrridge. Then ~ when the pot was full of porridge ~ the little girl would say "Stop ~ Pot ~ Stop, there is quite enough porrridge for everyone". Well, I wonder what the magic words are to make the rain stop. Please stop Rain ~ there's more than enough water for everyone.
This was the Satellite image at 8:00 am this morning ~ with the eye of Tropical Storm Fay right on top of us.
Then ~ here is the Radar of Tropical Storm Fay STILL right over us at 9:00 pm ~ with lots more rain in the forecast for tonight. At least the winds aren't nearly as strong as they were last night. I thought the windows in our House were all going to blow completely out.
We're so thankful that our power is back on and we're also thankful for Dominos. Well, little Miss Organized here ~ was in complete denial about the Storm and didn't prepare for a power outage. Nothing ~ Nada ~ Zilch .... no water, no food, etc. My girls kept begging that we order Dominos Pizza ~ since we were without electricity and the cupboards were bare. I didn't think that Dominos would deliver Pizza during the Storm ~ but I agreed to call and see if they were even open. Well, they were at our front door in less than an hour with the BEST Pizza I've ever eaten.
"And God said unto Noah, make thee an Ark of Gopher Wood....two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark. Then it rained for 40 days and 40 nights......
Don't worry ~ I know we'll have a Beautiful Rainbow in the morning!!

So sorry to see you were in the middle of all of that! But yay to Dominos for "rescuing" you!
Your blog is very pretty!

Oh, I am praying for you and your family right now!! Stay safe!
Oh my, I love your first photo! OK, I guess it's not fun to be under that palm tree, even in a house, but I would like to experience that kind of storm. Just for an hour, of course. And without my little girls, they are so afraid of thunder and lightnings.
Wishing you a big shinny rainbow.
Hugs, Anja
Oh goodness, I hope everything is back to normal soon!
