Brave Bunny attacking Snake

My Sister ~ Julie and her Husband ~ Craig told me about this Video and so I wanted to post it here on my Blog. It's a Video of a Bunny attacking a Snake and then finally the Snake jumps up into a tree to get away from the Bunny.

Thanks Julie & Craig!!

Snakes Alive ~ Indeed!!

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in Nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?

Then hop on over to
Pampering Beki's Blog ~ she's the Fabulous Hostess for this inspirational event!!

For Fingerprint Friday ~ I wanted to share with you this picture I took last year. It was taken in the Parker Jungle a/k/a our Back Yard. Do you see the Black Snake in the middle of the picture? Well, I really don't like snakes ~ but they are one of God's Creatures ~ so I just try and keep my distance from them.

This morning ~ I pulled the Shower Curtain back and there was a Black Snake in our Shower. Of course, Mr. Bunny was at work and little Baby Bunny said ~ "You're on your own". She usually has such a pleasant attitude and is willing to help with anything. I finally guilted her into helping me by telling her that it was just going to live in our House forever and get really big ~ we needed to deal with it NOW. Her suggestion was that we put the Cat in the Bathroom and close the door. That was really very tempting ~ but the Vet was closed today and we would need confirmation that the Snake was gone and not just hiding somewhere.

We tried to think of someone to call. I knew that the Fire Department was working overtime with all of the flooding in the area. If it was an Alligator ~ we could call the Department of Wildlife ~ well, thankfully it wasn't an Alligator. We were just going to have to deal with it ourselves. I really don't like snakes and so it took tons of courage for me to deal with this Snake situation.

I decided to think positively and quickly made a little mental list of the pros. It wasn't poisonous, it was small, our home wasn't flooded, etc. We have so much to be thankful for ~ God is Good and we have been Blessed!! We can at the very least Save a Snake ~ they are one of God's creatures (even if I don't like them). *sigh*

So, I watched the Snake while my Baby Bunny got a Box and some Paper. The plan was that I would scoop the Snake onto the Paper and then drop it into the Box. Then, Baby Bunny would quickly close the lid and we could carry it safely outside. However, once the Snake was on the Paper it then turned and leapt at me. I screamed ~ Baby Bunny screamed and Zoe (our little Yorkie) thought the Snake was attacking ~ so she started Barking and running circles around us. My throat is still sore tonight from all the screaming I did this morning!!

We regrouped and I guess twice is the charm ~ the Snake was finally inside the Box. Baby Bunny quickly took the Box outside and after it's release ~ I decided I would feature Snakes Alive on my feature for Fingerprint Friday. Unfortunately ~ by the time I grabbed my Camera ~ the Snake was long gone.

I found this picture on the internet and this looks EXACTLY like the Snake that was in our Shower this morning!! Same Color, Same little yellow ring around it's neck and EXACTLY the same SIZE. Snakes Alive ~ Indeed!!!

What would Laura Ingalls Do?

Thankfully ~ the Storm named Fay has moved on and we didn't sustain any major damage. However, a Tree did knock out our TV Cable, Internet and Telephone ~ but we still had electricity for our A/C, Refrigerator, etc. I was having major withdrawals since I couldn't check my emails or surf the web and the little girl bunnies weren't happy either. We felt so isolated ~ we couldn't go online, watch TV or even talk on the telephone.

Then ~ the image of Laura Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie popped into my head. What would Laura Ingalls do in this situation? Honestly, I never really enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie. There was always so much Drama and their clothes were just too plain and colorless, but yes ~ there was always a "moral to the story". However, when they "made" Mary Ingalls go blind ~ that was "curtains" for me. I just don't like sad stories ~ even if they have a happy ending. I never watched "Lassie" for the same reason. So ~ we read, played games, baked some cookies ~ just like Laura Ingalls would have done under the same circumstances.

Fay ~ Fay ~ Please go Away!!

Fay ~ Fay ~ please go away!! "There's been quite enough rain for everyone" It has rained here for days now and a lot of the streets are flooded. There is an area just south of us that has already gotten 24 inches of rain ~ with more on the way!! Unfortunately ~ it's still raining outside and Tropical Storm Fay has remained Stationary most of the day ~ Stationary ~ right on top of us.

I keep thinking about that Grimm's Fairy Tale ~ the one about the magic pot that would cook porridge on command. The little girl would say Cook ~ Pot ~ Cook and the pot would merrily make porrridge. Then ~ when the pot was full of porridge ~ the little girl would say "Stop ~ Pot ~ Stop, there is quite enough porrridge for everyone". Well, I wonder what the magic words are to make the rain stop. Please stop Rain ~ there's more than enough water for everyone.

This was the Satellite image at 8:00 am this morning ~ with the eye of Tropical Storm Fay right on top of us.

Then ~ here is the Radar of Tropical Storm Fay STILL right over us at 9:00 pm ~ with lots more rain in the forecast for tonight. At least the winds aren't nearly as strong as they were last night. I thought the windows in our House were all going to blow completely out.

We're so thankful that our power is back on and we're also thankful for Dominos. Well, little Miss Organized here ~ was in complete denial about the Storm and didn't prepare for a power outage. Nothing ~ Nada ~ Zilch .... no water, no food, etc. My girls kept begging that we order Dominos Pizza ~ since we were without electricity and the cupboards were bare. I didn't think that Dominos would deliver Pizza during the Storm ~ but I agreed to call and see if they were even open. Well, they were at our front door in less than an hour with the BEST Pizza I've ever eaten.

"And God said unto Noah, make thee an Ark of Gopher Wood....two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark. Then it rained for 40 days and 40 nights......

Don't worry ~ I know we'll have a Beautiful Rainbow in the morning!!

Bromeliad in the Wild for Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in Nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?

Then hop on over to Pampering Beki's Blog ~ she's the Fabulous Hostess for this inspirational event!!

This is a picture of the bloom on our Bromeliad that is growing wild in our back yard (aka The Parker Jungle). I know the neighbors refer to our backyard as the Parker Jungle because we have so many wild "animals" living back there and we've left it "natural". We have Raccoons, Opossums, tons of Snakes, Screech Owls, Osprey, Turtles, Squirrels, Painted Bunting, Cardinals and one sweet little Bunny that Zoe LOVES to chase. We've been re-locating the Raccoons and Opossums for obvious reasons ~ Zoe likes to chase them too and unfortunately we don't have pet medical insurance. The Vet referes to our fearless little Yorkie as his Annunity Plan. :)

I was surprised that this Bromeliad bloomed this week ~ it hasn't bloomed in Years. As soon as I saw the Flower on Monday ~ I knew it would be my "Fingerprint Friday". Thankfully ~ God has been taking care of this "Fingerprint" for me by providing lots of rain. Although ~ Bromeliads aren't my favorite ~ I have to admit that I'm enjoying this lovely Bloom.

Next week ~ maybe I'll share the pictures of the Wild Parker Jungle with you. I forgot to mention that we also have more than our fair share of Mosquitos and Lizards. :)

Thanks Anja ~

This is the adorable Bird and cute little Book that Anja sent me. Anja lives in Slovenia and I LOVE reading her Blog ~ Drobtinice. It always has gorgeous pictures, interesting stories and fabulous crafts. This week ~ she even has a Ghost Story on her Blog with a picture of the Beautiful Castle they visited.

Anja is so sweet and I was thrilled to receive these precious gifts from her. I will always treasure them and maybe one day we'll take a trip to the magical land of Slovenia.

Isn't Slovenia Gorgeous??!?!

How cute is this? Here's a close-up of the sweet little Book that Anja made and she wrote the nicest note inside it.

Here's a closeup of the Bird ~ isn't Anja an excellent seamstress?

Thanks again ~ Anja!! I'm so glad that we're Blogging Friends!!

This is the "Jean Bucket" that Anja made out of a pair of Jeans. I've been wanting to make one all Summer ~ so this week (our last week of Summer) we're going to make one. I thought it would be a great project for the girls and we have a stack of Jeans (that shrunk in the Dryer) and tons of fabric remnants. Anja made a detailed Tutorial on how to make one ~ just hop over here.

I think these Jean Buckets are the cutest little containers and just think of all the things you can use them for...... The possibilities are endless!!

Spot-less Saturday

We were so busy today ~ washing, scrubbing and polishing. I worked my Bunny tail off inside our little Cottage and Mr. Bunny detailed the cars AND pulled weeds outside. I've decided that nothing is more attractive than a man doing chores around the house. He even asked me to make a list of things for him to do ~ a "honey do list".

I finally finished ALL of the Laundry today ~ it was magic!! Yes, everything is washed, folded and even put away. Of course, I've been trying to get the laundry "caught up" for weeks now ~ but blogging is so much more fun.

Mr. Bunny is completely done with his list and I've only completed about 1/2 of the chores on my list. Maybe ~ if I'm lucky ~ he'll ask for another list in the morning. I still need to do the basics ~ Vacuum, Dust, Windex, etc. Then I need to go through my mountain of magazines ~ which I know are full of vital fashion information and timeless tips ~ like "Chic on the Cheap". My magazines would reach the roof if I stacked them all in one stack. I just need to say over and over..... less is more ~ less is more AND live the life you love ....(then you will)... love the life you live.

Don't you love these images? I found them while going through some Vintage magazines. I also found some gorgeous Cadillac ads ~ as well as a few Advertisements for Parker Pens.

OOAK Triple Gerber Daisy ~

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds

Then hop on over to Pampering Beki's Blog ~ she's the Fabulous Hostess for this inspirational event!!

I really wanted to share with you this amazing Gerber Daisy for Fingerprint Friday ~ but you'll have to use your imagination. I really struggle with my limited photography skills and at the time ~ I thought it was a great picture.

This OOAK Gerber Daisy has THREE blooms/flowers on ONE stem. It was so Gorgeous and extremely unique...... I can't tell you how much I wish that I'd just taken the time to make sure that the photo was of better quality. Well, yet another lesson learned!! Maybe I'll have another opportunity and we really enjoyed it while it lasted.

I'm so thrilled and honored that Canela at Cinnamon Sticks Boutique selected me as a recipient of the Kreativ Blogger Award. The terms of this lovely award are that I get to nominate 5 others to receive it and link them below. I have made my selection and these ladies don't need an introduction ~ they're all extremely talented and "Kreativ" is an understatement:

Anna Griffin ~ I've selected Anna even though she prefers Cats to Bunnies ?!?! However, her talent and creativity are unsurpassed. You can hop over here to see some of Anna's Fabulous products!!

Angelica Grace Designs ~ Angie's Blog is always one of the first Blogs that I visit each and every morning. She Loves God, her Family and her Friends with a passion and her Blog is always an inspiration to me.

Natasha Burns ~ It's no secret how much I LOVE everything about Natasha!!! She's one in a million!!! Her Blog and especially her artwork are priceless!!

Pampering Beki ~ Beki always finds the most Fabulous products and her Blog is another one on the "must read daily" list.

Scrappy Jessi ~ Jessi is such a "Doll" and extremely creative!! She is so full of life and you can just feel her energy when you read her Blog. This ole Bunny loves her to pieces and wish I was half as vivacious as she is.

Some of you have emailed me about my website ~
Bunny Chic Boutique. I'll be working on my website AND also be the National Account Executive for Fairy Tale Jewels. I'm looking forward to doing both simultaneously ~ if only my Bunny Brain can keep all of the passwords straight. For now, I've decided that sleep is extremely over rated. Of course ~ once my insomnia is cured I might retract that Statement. :)

I have always loved Bunny Fairies and now I am officially a Bunny Fairy ~

My Fabulous Bunny Sign ~

I'm so excited about this new Bunny sign that Natasha Burns painted for us. Isn't it the most Fabulous sign that you've ever seen? Natasha is so extremely talented and I'm thrilled that she was so willing to design and paint the PERFECT sign!! You can see how absolutely priceless it is ~ a treasured piece of art. I'm one lucky Bunny!!!

I spent days upon days searching for the perfect sign for our front door. I wanted a Sign with Roses and Bunnies and it had to be weathered, because our house is ~ well ~Vintage. Then, one day I finally realized that Natasha did custom orders so I contacted her and you can see the end result. I left out the part about spending hours deciding on the size and even longer picking out the font style~ but Natasha was so nice and patiently "listened" to my endless emails. She's one of the nicest people I've ever met!! Of course ~ you can tell that just by reading her lovely Blog.

Here's a closeup of one of the Bunnies!! Isn't he the cutest ever?

And here's another adorable Bunny!!

These are the Postcards that I purchased from her website. I bought an extra set ~ so that I could frame some and send a few. You can hop over here ~ if you'd like to purchase a set or two of these Beautiful Postcards.

These are original Cupcake Paintings that Natasha made. I just LOVE them and they look so Chic sitting on my Dresser. That's my little Bunny Purse in the background between the cupcakes.

There will be more pictures of these Cupcake Paintings and additional works of art that I've received from Natasha in a future Blog posting.

This is a closeup of the Cupcake Painting and it really sparkles ~ just look at all of those tiny Diamonds!!

Don't forget to visit Natasha's Gorgeous website by hopping over here and you don't want to miss a single day of reading her Fabulous Blog.

Any and all photos featured in this Blog Posting were used with Natasha Burns' knowledge and written permission via email. :)
