Happy St. Patrick's Day ~ Bunny Style!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

I'm so thrilled with my "new" 3000+ Vintage Easter Images ~ I even have this one to use for St. Patrick's Day. It's so unusual to have St. Patrick's Day in the middle of Holy Week and I wish that Easter wasn't so early this Year. However, since it won't be this early again in my lifetime ~ I've decided to embrace it's uniqueness.

"Easter is based on the Spring Equinox. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! Only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!). Moreover, none of us has ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier!

Here are the facts:

The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 ~ so if you’re 95 or older, you are the only ones that were around for that!

The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818. Therefore, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year!"

Hope you enjoy St. Patrick's Day!! I'm off to find something green to serve my Family for Dinner ~ maybe green food coloring will do the trick.

Crazy ~ Comfy Shoes

Rolando Haircalf Pumps by Christian Louboutin

For way too many years I wore high heels ~ then one day my feet went on strike. I was pregnant and my feet were so swollen that I couldn't even get my ugly clunky tennis shoes on. There I was "barefoot and pregnant" ~ just as the saying goes and absolutely miserable. That was about 16 years ago and my feet are STILL swollen ~ but I've found that wearing (elegant) comfy flats makes all the difference. So, I'm always on the "lookout" for the perfect shoe to add to my shoe collection ~ trendy, chic but most importantly comfy.

These shoes (pictured above) have my name written all over them!! I just can't decide on the color ~ I LOVE them all. I posted in a previous Blog that Yellow is going to be HUGE this Spring. So even though it might be my last choice ~ I know that it's a "must have" color and should be at the top of my list.

I'm also really picky about the inside of the shoe ~ these have suede linings and they are made by Aerosoles ~ so you know they must be comfy. They are absolutely perfect!! Well, I haven't tried them on yet and I've never owned a pair of Aerosoles, but they look Fabulous!! Please let me know what you think about them and which color YOU would choose. They are the Vancouver Flats by Aerosoles ~ hop here to check them out.

Crazy ~

So what is it about men dressing up in women's clothing that is so funny? Is it because they can't walk in high heels? I needed a good laugh this week and found this old Movie. Why don't they make great Movies like this anymore? This Video (below) is Movie clips of Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon from the Movie "Some like it Hot" with Marilyn Monroe w/the song "Crazy" by Gnarles Barkley. Hope you enjoy it ~

Isn't Marilyn Monroe gorgeous?!? Wouldn't she LOVE those Christian Louboutin pumps pictured at the top of my Blog? Can't you see her wearing those elegant leopard shoes?

Hope you have a restful and lovely Palm Sunday!!

Heart from Ragamuffin Gal/Katie ~ OWOH

This is another gift from the One World ~ One Heart Giveaway Event. Katie from the Blog entitled Ragamuffin Gal made this Beautiful Personalized Heart Shaped Plaque for me. I can't begin to tell you how much I LOVE it and only wish that you could see it in person. My pictures just don't capture it's beauty or all the details. I love everything about this design ~ the heart shape, the ribbons, the glitter, the vintage girl and the pink/green color combo. Isn't the little girl holding the heart so aorable and there is even a love charm hanging from the wire.

Katie even painted the back of the heart ~ a pretty pink.

I've placed this precious Heart next to my Computer so that I can enjoy it everyday!

Here is another close-up shot of my Lovely Heart! Thank you so much Katie!! I will always treasure this Fabulous Gift ~ you've made me very "hoppy".

Please don't forget to check out Katie's Blog ~ she has posted some cute Collages under "life-isms" and I LOVE her Gorgeous Blog Banner. A couple of my favs are "when life hands you lemons ~ go buy a purse" and "the fear of imperfection has prevented many creative adventures from ever beginning". To see her Collages on her Blog ~ hop right here.

~ Only 8 Days until Easter!! ~

Lauren tried out for the 12U Lady Hurricanes Basketball Team and she's so thrilled that she made the Team. So, now we're really busy with 2 hour practices three times a week and Games all over the State on the weekends. She's only 11 years old and is 5'3" (same height as me) ~ yet surprisingly she's the shortest one on the team and also the youngest. The practices are so intense and quite grueling ~ surprisingly she loved every minute of it and the two hours flew by for her. It's no secret that she doesn't take after me ~ I wouldn't have lasted 15 minutes (even when I was 11). I'm a nervous wreck watching her at Basketball Practice ~ how am I going to survive watching her play a whole Game?

Show and Tell ~ Custom Bunny Painting!!

This week I wanted to share with you this Fabulous OOAK Painting that Sandy (dreamcreateinspire) created for me. She painted it to match my Blog Heading and I love that she included all the little details ~ the Bunny holding the Hatbox, the stripes, the rosebuds, the Vintage Postcard, etc. The Bunny is totally adorable, the roses are amazingly realistic and she even included the bow on the hat box. It's quite large and measures approx. 17 X 20 inches. I'm absolutely thrilled with the way that it turned out and couldn't wait to show Every Bunny!! You can check out her Blog by hopping over here.

Sandy even included the Vintage Postcard and personalized it with my name. This Painting isn't Shabby but tres Chic and I'm going to hang it in my new Office/Studio.

I just love this Bunny holding the Hat Box and was ecstatic that she included it in this Painting.

There are so many Beautiful Roses featured on this Painting and the colors she used are so vibrant.
Look at the rosebuds "growing" up the right side of the Painting!! Isn't Sandy so extremely talented? I just can't thank her enough for this priceless treasure!!

This is a photo of the OUTSIDE of the package that she sent. She even painted Roses on the Brown Paper that the Painting was wrapped in. They were so lovely ~ I didn't want to open the Package for fear that I might rip one of the Roses! I had no idea that there were about 20 more Roses waiting for me inside the Package.

Closeup of another Rosebud that was also painted on the outside of the Package.

Thanks again to Sandy for this Stunningly Beautiful Custom Painting that she donated for the One World ~ One Heart Giveaway!! I have truly been blessed by her artistic talent and incredible generosity.

Happy Birthday ~ Park!!

Happy Birthday Park!! My the years have flown ~ but you have aged to perfection! So, how can you be 40+ when your Mom is only 39?!?

I've always been attracted to older men and fell in love with Park the moment that we first met. And they said our "March-December" Romance would never last.

This is how Park will be spending his Birthday ~ on the Golf Course!!

Park and the girls complain constantly that their eyelashes are so long that they can't wear sunglasses. Imagine having lashes so long that they rub the lenses inside your glasses. My Daughter actually wanted to trim her eyelashes because she thought they were too long. I was horrified that she might cut them like she cut all her hair off when she was 4. I told them both ~ you can't be too thin, too tan or have lashes that are too long.

I also fell in love with Cary Grant when I first saw him. I found this video and thought it would be perfect for Park's Birthday. It features Toby Keith's song ~ "As good as I once was".

One World ~ One Heart Giveaway!!

The picture above shows all of the Gorgeous Gifts that I received from Molly over at Creative Life and Times. She was so kind and extremely generous to send all of these Fabulous Fabrics, Ribbons, Cards, Beads, Lace, Yarn, Flowers, Trims, a Painting and even a Beautiful Silver Pendant. I've taken some "close-ups" of these items ~ but my pictures really don't do them justice.

This shows the Heart that she made out of fibers, some Ribbon on the right, a little yellow flower applique, pink & green fabric, 2 spools of fiber/yarn and of course a Beautiful mini Painting.

This is the Mini Painting up close ~ don't you LOVE the colors that she used!! Hopefully, I have it "right side up".

This photo depicts some additional lace trim, lots of beads, three more pieces of fabric and in the middle is the Gorgeous Fiber/Yarn that was tied on the Package. Of course ~ the Lovely Pendant is at the top.

Here is another picture of the amazing Silver Soldered Pendant. I LOVE this Pendant ~ the Flower is so vibrant and it reminds me of Spring.

This is the back of the Silver Pendant with a pretty Lace Flower!!

This is another closeup of the lace, beads, flowers and fabric!! I LOVE these colors ~ they're so Bunny-licious!!

Another set of fabrics, flowers, leaves, another spool of yarn/fiber, ribbon and a Beautiful hand made Card. I think that is a Vintage Button that I've placed on top of the Flower Petals (upper left). I just couldn't capture the Beauty of that Button on Film ~ wish you could see it in person. It actually sparkles!!

Here's a closeup of the Lovely Card!!
I just can't thank Molly enough for all of these Fabulous Gifts!! I'm going to have to get busy and make some altered art with all of these amazing items. If you have just a few moments you should look at some of Molly's Gorgeous Photos ~ just hop over here. She's such an extremely talented Artist and an inspiring Lady ~ I've been truly blessed to have won her Giveaway!! I'll always treasure these gifts and especially her thoughtfulness!!

The "B" Word on a Sunday??!!

The first time I saw "Gone with the Wind" was with my Sister Mary in a Movie Theatre in Macon, Georgia. There were very few people in the Theatre and the gentleman sitting in front of us got up and changed seats when I cried because the Horse fell over dead. He thought I was crazy for being so upset about the Horse ~ when they had showed a huge Battlefield of dying Soldiers. The Horse falling down just looked more realistic to me and I knew the men were actors. LOL I was so young and thought it was the greatest Movie ever made (well except for the horse dying)!

Then, several years ago I watched it again. However, I only watched a portion of the lengthy Movie because I fast-forwarded through all of the sad and unpleasant scenes. Why was it my favorite Movie again? It has War scenes, little Bonnie dying, both of Scarlett's parents die, the horse dies AGAIN, Rhett leaves, etc. etc. ~ gloom and doom. Of course, I still love Scarlett's spirit and her gorgeous outfits ~ so I really enjoyed watching this Video and I hope you will too.

Please note: this Video was dedicated to Kayleigh's Mother ~ not mine.

Sorry about the "B" word in this Video ~ but it IS the name of a Female Dog. It's just a good thing that my Mother doesn't read my Blog. Not only did I miss Church today ~ I have the "B" word featured on my Blog today. Shameless!! However, I did listen to Alan Jackson's CD ~ Precious Memories this morning (after I watched this Scarlett O'Hara Video a dozen times).

I'm putting these on my website today. Aren't they too too adorable? They are handmade hair clips and of course, I LOVE this one ~ a Bunny hair clip. The bunny eyes are genuine Swarovksi Crystals.

These Hair Clips will also be on my website ~ a dragonfly and a butterfly. I'll try and get them on the website today or maybe tomorrow. "After all ~ tomorrow is another day!!" Scarlett O'Hara

I've decorated my Blog with some adorable "Blog Tag Graphics" made by Trudy over at Wild-Oak-Design. (Thanks Trudy ~ I LOVE them!!)

There is a new category on my Blog entitled, "Bunny Tales" where you will find some (interesting?) Books. These Tales are a few that I've read or have on my reading "wish list". I won't have "Bunny's Books" on Sundays but check out my Bunny Tales Bookcase for some "light reading" and/or Books with lots of pictures. I'll be adding more Titles but if you're looking for deep thought provoking literature ~ you're on the wrong Blog.

I'm working on a special Blog posting for Thursday ~ it's Park's Birthday!! Hopefully, he'll like it ~ I'll just remind him that he has a wonderful sense of humor.

May Easter Bring Thee Many Joys!!
