I Guess Things Happen That Way ~

Did you hear the news? This Johnny Cash song was the ten billionth song downloaded on itunes yesterday. Congrats to the 71 year old genglemen in GA that won a $10,000.00 itunes gift card. That's going to buy him A LOT of Johnny Cash songs. AND ~ although I've never heard this song before ~ it's now my latest greatest Theme Song. :) Here are the lyrics for the song ~

"Guess Things Happen That Way"

Well you ask me if I'll forget my baby.

I guess I will, someday.

I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.

You ask me if I'll get along.I guess I will, someway.

I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.

God gave me that girl to lean on, then he put me on my own.

Heaven help me be a man and have the strength to stand alone.

I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.

You ask me if I'll miss her kisses.I guess I will, everyday.

I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.

You ask me if I'll find another.I don't know. I can't say.

I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.

God gave me that girl to lean on,then he put me on my own.

Heaven help me be a man and have the strength to stand alone.

I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.

Cindy Bunny ~ Bearington Collection

I have two of these Cindy Bunnies from the Bearington Collection. Her outfit is pink velour with pretty little rosebuds around her lace collar and she stands about 17 inches tall. Email me if you're interested in this adorable stuffed Bunny. Wouldn't she look so cute sitting in an Easter Basket.

Diet Update ~

I know you'd love to hear the latest update regarding my new Diet ~ the "lose 12 pounds in 2 weeks" Diet. Well ~ as of today ~ I've GAINED 5 pounds. AND ~ I've made progress just because now I've figured out why I can't go on any type of "Diet". The reason is because when I tell myself that I'm on a "Diet" ~ then I spend 24/7 thinking about food. What am I going to have for Lunch, Dinner, Snack time AND I'm hungry ALL the time. Every meal that I have is like my "last meal". I tell myself that I'm going to have bread with Dinner and also Dessert ~ because it's my "last meal" before I need to get serious about my "Diet". I lost lots more weight just staying busy and not focusing on food ALL of the time. Not to mention the fact ~ that I ate a ton of Strawberries (with lots of whipped cream) AND guess what??? I found out that I'm allergic to Strawberries because I broke out into a rash last week and I was miserable. So, thanks for asking about the "12 pounds in 2 weeks" diet ~ I now need to lose 17 pounds in the one week remaining. I'll just go back to my unhealthy eating habits ~ thank you very much.

Bathroom Decor ~

Our Guest Bathroom needs to be completely redecorated ~ floor to ceiling. However, we can't afford to purchase new flooring, wall paper, paint, rugs, etc. So, I decided to spruce it up with new Bath Rugs and found these Gorgeous ones at Dillards. They are made of Egyptian Cotton and are absolutely the softest Bath Rugs. They are well-made, great price AND ~ they're available in 20 different colors. Just hop right over here ~ if you're interested. They made a HUGE improvement to our Guest Bath.

Bunny Shopping ~

I've been out shopping for Bunnies ~ since this is the best time of the Year to find lots of Bunnies in the Stores. You know how they "rush" the Holiday Decor months ahead. Surprisingly ~ I didn't find any Bunnies that I "couldn't live without" in TJ Maxx and usually I end up with a whole shopping cart full of cute Bunnies. Don't worry ~ I made up for it over at "Tuesday Morning" and found so many darling little bunnies for my collection.

This handpainted Porcelain Country Bunny (pictured above) is on their website ~ so if you don't have a "Tuesday morning" in your area ~ you can order him online. He's made by Kaldun & Bogle, stands 20 inches tall and is the perfect home accessory for Spring. You can hop right over here to order one for your Cottage.

"Hoppy" Valentine's Day ~

(click picture to enlarge)
~ "Hoppy" Valentine's Day ~

We had a very "Hoppy" Valentine's Day and enjoyed a delicious Luncheon at my Mother's House. Then we had Olive Garden takeout for Dinner tonight and so I didn't have to cook at all today ~ LOVE that. There isn't any School tomorrow ~ so we'll get to sleep in. LOVE 3 day weekends!! I just wish that it would warm up a few degrees ~ Hurry Up Spring!!

I decorated each and every room for Valentine's Day. Unfortunately ~ some of my pictures didn't turn out. Tiffany sent me quite a few things ~ including some red wooden hearts. I originally had them in a "Silver" Basket ~ but they look even better in a white oval bowl. I'll try and take some more pictures ~ including some of the other Gorgeous things that Tiffany sent me. I've made a large TJ (Tiffany Jane) display on top of one of my Dressers. It looks very magical and whenever I walk by ~ it always makes me smile.

I had tons of fun decorating for Valentine's Day. I love the way the picture above turned out ~ looks kind of artsy. I've had the Victorian frame and was trying to decide where to put it. The adorable fabric flowers were made by tracybdesigns and the "vase" is a Tommy Bahama Rum Bottle. I thought that the vase of flowers would look great inside the frame. DON'T try this at home!!! The vase/bottle was precariously balanced on the bottom of the frame for this photo session. Guess I didn't push the frame back against the wall ~ because an hour later the Frame fell and broke into FOUR pieces. I super glued it back together and it REALLY looks old and rustic now. *sigh*

I tied a strip of beaded garland and one of my Bracelets with swarovski crystals around the neck of the Rum Bottle. Then ~ I filled it up with some red and pink heart confetti.

I used two different table runners ~ white battenburg lace and also a runner with appliqued red and pink hearts. Then I sprinkled red and pink heart confetti on the cake plate and the table runners. I LOVE the cake plate because you can change the fabric ribbon to match the different holidays or your decor.

The Valentine's Day Card is from my friend Terri in CT. She sent me a Book by Anna Griffin and that cute Valentine Card (pictured above).

This is the "White Rabbit" that was made by Jennifersdols. He looks so adorable sitting in an Antique footed crystal bowl that I purchased from the Estate Sale next door. The white lights look very festive and much better in person. I wrapped some of the red and also white beaded garland around the lights.

Valentine's Day Card made by Cherryjn.

And another Card by Cherryjn with the little cupid on the right. That is a crystal perfume bottle on the left that we use as a pen holder.

The "Card Men" that we always have on display for Valentine's Day. I just added some red and pink buttons to the center of the bowl.

These are the Cherub Candlesticks that I mentioned in a previous Blog posting. I thought about selling them on Etsy or my website ~ but I've decided to keep them. They look so adorable sitting on our piano and I just happened to have these Red Heart candles.

This cute mailbox looks much better in person ~ it was also made by cherryjn.

I bought this Silver Basket at an Antique Store. The Lady told me that it was Sterling ~ but after polishing it for a couple of hours ~ I really think that it's silver plated. I still like the "lines" and the moveable handle. The base has a few places that are discolored ~ but I just wrapped some red beaded garland around it.

One more day and I'll be switching my Blog Banner over to a Spring Banner. Tiffany did the most amazing job on my Spring Blog Banner ~ it's absolutely GORGEOUS!! I can't wait to install it ~ although I'm going to miss my Valentine's Banner.

Prepare for the Worst and Hope for the Best ~

Excuse me while I put these Valentine's Day Banners somewhere safe here on my Blog. Just wanted to post them here ~ so that if my computer crashes again I can find them easily. Yes, I still have Carbonite for my pictures ~ but I thought another backup might be a good idea.
There is a popular saying here in Florida during Hurricane Season. "Hope for the Best ~ but Prepare for the Worst." Doesn't that apply to so many different aspects/stages of our lives? That's part of the reason why we have Car Insurance, House Insurance, Prenups, Carbonite, Extended Warranties, Savings Accounts, AAA, Life Jackets, etc. etc.

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.” Albert Einstein

"The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." Winston Churchill
AND ~ I think of this quote often:
"If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's ~ we'd grab ours back."

More Zebras ~

I just HAD to show this Zebra Scraf to you. I know you're probably tired of me talking about Zebras and Scarves ~ but this lovely Silk Scarf is on sale over on the Talbots website. It was regularly $44.00 ~ but is now on sale for only $10.99. Just hop right over here and hurry!!

12 Pounds in 2 Weeks ~

I'm going to try and lose 12 pounds in 2 weeks using this Book by Denise Austin. It features lots of healthy recipes and workouts that can be done in just 12 minutes each day. I think I can find 12 minutes each day for a workout. I've ordered the Book and hopefully will receive it so that I can begin my 2 week challenge on Monday (02/15/10). I'd LOVE to be able to squeeze into my swimsuit by Spring Break.

Don't Trust Spell Checker ~

Another Fabulous Blog Banner ~

Only 5 more days and then I get to change my Blog Banner again. I just can't decide which Banner that I like the best ~ guess I'll just switch them out every 2 weeks. Didn't Tiffany Jane do a Fabulous job designing these 3 Banners? She is so incredibly talented and these Banners are absolutely adorable!!!

I couldn't be more thrilled with my Blog Banners. They're just too too cute.

Animal Print is so HOT ~

UPDATE ~ The Animal Print Scarf (pictured above) is currently on backorder and will ship on 3/05/10 ~ so visit and order one today.
Do you remember this Animal Print Scarf that WAS available at Talbots? Well, it's already sold out online and no longer available. I hopped over to Talbots this morning to buy it and I'm too late. I probably can get it from our local "brick and mortar" Talbots. Guess I should have bought it first and THEN blogged about it. Well, I told you it was going to be HOT ~ I just didn't realize how quickly they would sell out.

Have you ever lost something ~ 15 minutes after you received it? Well, I received this Gorgeous Bracelet (pictured above) in the mail from Samantha .....put it on immediately and left to run errands. 15 mintues later, I'm in a Store and realize that my new Beautiful Bracelet is no longer on my wrist. I was so upset and don't know how I could have lost it so quickly. It was cold, dark and raining ~ but I spent hours looking through the parking lot, the store, our driveway, in my car.....everywhere ~ but I couldn't it. I finally emailed Samantha ~ asking her if she could please make another Bracelet like the one that I had just lost. She was so kind and said she could make one very similar ~ just not exactly since the one I lost was OOAK. I had a dream the other night that I found the "lost" Bracelet in my Shirt drawer. I don't remember opening that drawer on the night that I lost my Bracelet ~ but maybe I should check there anyway. It still bothers me that I lost that Gorgeous Bracelet and so quickly too ~ I'd already fallen in love with it. Thankfully ~ Samantha was so sweet to make another one ~ even prettier than the original.

All of Samantha's Fabulous designs are OOAK (one of a kind). So if you see something in Samantha33's Etsy Shop that you LOVE ~ you'd better purchase it before SomeBunny else does.
